The Gazprom Media-owned channel TV3 is looking for OTT platforms to co-invest in content production.
Kommersant reports that in return it will give them exclusive rights to show the content on the internet.
TV3 has already entered into an agreement with the internet company Yandex.
Under it, the channel will show pilots of new TV series, after which visitors to Yandex’s Kinosearch site will be able to decide which ones they would like to watch further. If 75% of votes are positive, the series will be put into production.
Representatives of leading Russian OTT services such as Ivi and Megogo have cautiously welcomed the possibility of working with TV3.
