One million customers on Norway’s Get network will now be able to receive premium sports and movie channels, including HBO, in the basic offer.
“This is the start of a whole new TV experience for 1 million Norwegians. Get’s TV customers are the first in the world to freely choose between channels and streaming services like HBO GO in television its offer, says Get CEO, Gunnar Evensen.
Since 2013, Get customers have been able to pull together their own TV package, but now the TDC-owned net wants to respond to changes in viewing habits. In addition to HBO, there will also be Premier League and Norwegian football.
“Get have been through tough negotiations with national and international content providers to ensure customers the best possible offer,” adds Evensen. The new offering can be viewed on all devices throughout Norway, and Get customers who have broadband in their cabins can now see all of Get TV also there.”
The new offer is available from 1 April, the same day as Canal Digital Kabel opens up a number of its channels.
