The Romanian regulator ANCOM has announced the completion of the fourth tender for DTT multiplexes.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the tender has seen the award of local multiplexes to M Plus Investments and Nova Media, for the cities of Iasi and Timisoara respectively.
According to ANCOM, each will be required to pay €8,000 to the state budget no later than 90 days following the announcement of the licence award.
Both licences are valid for 10 years and the winners can launch services immediately.
The two companies will also each be required to operate a transmitter within a year of the licence award.
