Deutsche Telekom sees more prospects for growth in its TV operations in Romania than in other markets it is present in.
Quoted by ZF, Frantisek Mala, commercial director of residential services, Telekom Romania, added that this is due to the consumption of TV in the country still being quite conservative and focused on linear services.
As a result, one of the most important opportunities is to migrate customers to interactive digital platforms, where they can be sold new services and additional video
packages.
Telekom Romania is the second largest provider of TV services in the country after RCS&RDS (Digi), claiming 1,461,177 DTH, IPTV and cable customers as of the end of the third quarter, or 2.1% more than a year earlier.
Its revenues from TV operations in the third quarter were meanwhile 5% higher than in the corresponding period in 2015.
