Vodafone has confirmed that it will sell its Dutch fixed-line business, known as Vodafone Thuis, to T-Mobile Netherlands for an undisclosed fee.
The sale is part of a commitment by Vodafone to the EC for the merger of its operations in the Netherlands with those of Liberty Global’s.
While still requiring regulatory approval, it is expected to close this December.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, Vodafone and Liberty Global entered into an agreement to merge their operations in the Netherlands in February this year.
The 50/50 joint venture between the two companies was officially approved by the EC in August, with the proviso that Vodafone sold on its fixed line business.
Vodafone Thuis is understood to have around 150,000 subscribers.
