The Serbian incumbent Telekom Srbija has completed the first stage of a major network infrastructure upgrade.
B92 reports that the pilot, undertaken in the municipality of Aleksandric at a cost of €1.6 million, covered over 10,000 households and lasted five months.
Quoting Pedrag Culibrk, the telco’s general manager, it adds that once completed the upgrade will provide over one million homes throughout the country with significantly faster internet speeds.
The upgrade is being undertaken in cooperation with Huawei.
