Telekom Austria’s TV business continued to perform well in the third quarter, with the group as a whole maintaining its growth path.
In Bulgaria, the company ended September with 471,000 pay-TV customers, up from 124,100 a year earlier, just prior to the incorporation of Blizoo, the country’s leading cable operator. This incorporation, undertaken on October 1, 2015, had initially raised the Q4 2015 total to 462,800.
Meanwhile, in Croatia the company ended Q3 with 200,500 pay-TV customers, up from 187,200 in the corresponding period in 2015.
In Austria, its home market, the corresponding figures were 278,700 and 263,000.
Telekom Austria’s reported revenues in Q3 were €1,073.2 million, or 1.4% more than the 2015 proforma total of €1,058.8 million, while EBITDA was €415.5 million (+7.5%).
