UPC (Switzerland and Austria) has appointed Anna Gatti, as Chief Marketing, Products and Digital Officer.
The move is part of a restructuring previously of the company’s its Marketing & Products department. Gatti was previously Managing Director Customer Experience at parent company Liberty Global. She will become a member of the UPC leadership team on December 1, and will replace Ivo Hoevel, who will leave the company at the end of the year.
In Anna Gatti, UPC is gaining an experienced executive from the telecommunications industry. The 44-year-old Italian spent ten years at Vodafone in the Netherlands and New Zealand and has worked for Liberty Global in Amsterdam since 2012. Gatti will be responsible for the activities in the Marketing & Products division of the Liberty Global Austria/Switzerland regional organisation. As Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing, Products and Digital Officer, she will report directly to UPC’s CEO, Eric Tveter. Gatti will also support the digital agenda for the Central Eastern Europe region (CEE) in collaboration with Severina Pascu, Managing Director of these operations at UPC.
Ivo Hoevel, who has been in charge of products and marketing at UPC since September 2013, has now decided to leave the company after more than three years for personal reasons. “Ivo Hoevel has contributed greatly to the fact that UPC is now offering its customers a fresh brand identity and more attractive entertainment experience as a full-service provider for TV, Internet, fixed network and mobile communications. I would like to thank him for our successful collaboration, and in particular for the co-creation of our revamped, transparent and simplified Connect and Play product structure. I wish him all the best for the future,” says Eric Tveter, CEO of UPC.
“In Anna Gatti we are gaining a successful leader for the UPC management team. With her proven track record in transformation of customer experience and digital strategy, she will greatly enrich our company. I am very much looking forward to working together with her and fighting forward to realise our vision of the best connected entertainment: whatever, wherever, whenever,” said Tveter.
