Revenues from O2’s on demand service in the Czech Republic have grown by 15% since it introduced an online version in April 2014.
Furthermore, the number of loans has increased by as much as 17%. The news comes alongside an announcement that the company has entered into a distribution agreement with 20th Century Fox.
Subscribers to O2’s on demand service can watch films at home through O2 TV, via an application on mobiles and tablets and online at www.o2tv.cz. Rental prices start at CZK30 (€1.11) for action movies and CZK45 for blockbusters, with adult titles costing CZK120.
Titles can be watched an unlimited number of times over the 48-hour rental period.
Significantly, the O2 library offers viewers titles before they become available on DVD.
The greatest interest over the long term is in both Czech and foreign news.
