The Czech DTH platform operator Digi CZ has added two channels from Slovakia’s Joj group and at the same time introduced a standalone sports package to its offer.
As of October 1, its satellite service Nová Digi TV is distributing Joj Family and Joj Cinema in its basic and expanded packages.
Meanwhile, Digi CZ’s recently launched internet TV service Digi2Go will include both channels in its line-up from Tuesday, October 4.
The standalone package, known as Sport Plus and offering mostly football, costs CZK349 (€12.9) a month and has been available to both Digi CZ’s DTH and internet subscribers since the beginning of this month.
Digi CZ is backed by Lama Energy Group, a wholly Czech-owned investment company, and was previously part of Romania’s RCS&RDS.
Joj is one of the leading commercial broadcasters in Slovakia and its interests in the Czech Republic are represented by Axocom.
