Russia’s leading pay-TV operator Tricolor TV has made its offer more widely available through a new service named City.
Targeting potential customers who live in apartment buildings where the installation of satellite dishes is not possible, it allows signals to be decoded directly in households with reception equipment and smart cards.
Potential customers are then offered the ‘One’ package, which consists of over 200 TV channels and radio stations and costs R250 (€3.47) a month.
Tricolor TV is now negotiating with potential partners to provide the service.
They are located in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, Moscow and Moscow region, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and the Samara region.
Tricolor TV had 11.91 million subscribers as of the end of Q2 this year.
