The QYou has announced a linear channel agreement with Poland’s Play to deliver its recently launched OTT service Play Now.
The deal marks the entry of the internet video curator into the Polish market, after having recently also announced ones with Knippr in The Netherlands, Multi Channels Asia in APAC and TotalPlay in Latin America.
Commenting on the development, Karina Rompa, content manager at Play, said: “We launched Play with the intention of providing our subscribers with access to TV services whenever, wherever they want, and on any device. We understand that many of our customers are people with a real hunger for bite-sized, shareable content, so it’s important for us to ensure that we are offering this type of entertainment. With its fresh selection of engaging and exciting videos, The QYou was an obvious choice for inclusion in our service.”
Scott Ehrlich, The QYou co-founder and CEO, added: “In just two years since its launch, The QYou has developed a legion of fans worldwide that turn to us for the very best online video on offer.
“We know that today’s online video environment promotes some of the best talent, but discovering this talent in a sea of content is virtually impossible without the kind of discovery and curation tools we have developed at The QYou. We’re sure that Play Now viewers will enjoy our channel and we’re thrilled to be part of the Polish TV marketplace.”
