A+E Networks UK is renewing its distribution agreement with the Norwegian cable network Get. As part of renewal H2 will make its debut to over 500,000, while the distribution of parent channel History is also being extended.
From Tuesday, H2 will be offered as an optional channel in Get’s Start and Family packages, allowing subscribers to watch original programming, including internationally acclaimed series like The Universe, Ancient Aliens, The World Wars and America’s Book of Secrets, as well as a wide range of high quality, award-winning documentaries such as WWII From Space and Gettysburg.
To mark the launch of H2 on the Get network, the channel will be available without charge to all Get’s customers until the end of September.
Christian Høyer, Regional Director Nordic at A+E Networks UK, says:“Get is an important partner for us, and we are very pleased that they are adding H2 to their channel line-up. H2 is the perfect companion for HISTORY, turning information into entertainment and allowing History enthusiasts to dig deeper into quality documentaries and series.”
Rune Åsprang, Head of TV and Entertainment at Get, adds: “We’re excited to offer H2 to our customers. By adding another factual entertainment channel, we increase the already great variety of channels on our platform, which I believe will be highly appreciated by our customers.”
Both HISTORY and H2 are offered as HD channels on the Get platform.
H2 is currently available in 15 million homes across the UK, Scandinavia, Central & Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
