Foxconn, one of the world’s largest consumer electronics manufacturers, will equip its TV devices with white label smart TV portal solutions from German technology and software development company NetRange.
As part of the collaboration, Foxconn will provide the devices with a turnkey middleware and will be the first OEM to deliver ready-to-go products to the brands it produces for, according to NetRange. This includes a ready-to-use smart TV portal as well as a wide range of integrated and certified premium video-on-demand (VOD) applications.
The Foxconn/NetRange project enables TV brands to offer solutions that meet current market standards, saving them the complex and demanding procedure of developing and integrating VOD applications, according to NetRange.
