The Russian cable operator ER Telecom has posted net revenues of R13.3 billion (€182.6 million) for the first six months of this year, or 21.4% more than in the same period in 2015.
However, reports ComNews, its net profit fell by 45.6% to R459 million over the same period.
EBITDA rose by 3% to R4 billion and its net debt as of June 30 stood at R18 billion.
Significantly, while ER Telecom’s revenues in the B2B segment grew by 118% year-on-year to R4.1 billion, those in the B2C segment increased by only 2.2% to R9.3 billion. The number of active subscribers in the B2C segment grew by 7% in the year to June 30 and amounted to 5.4 million.
ER Telecom has undertaken several M&A deals in the first half of this year. These, according to the company’s president, have strengthened its position in regional markets. In his view, the company’s growth strategy will provide diversified sources of financing.
