Russia’s MTS ended the second quarter with 2,750,000 pay-TV subscribers, or 20,000 more than a year earlier.
Its internet subscriber total was 2,720,000 (2,486,000 in Q2 2015) and it had 1,620,000 (1,279,000) GPON customers.
MTS’s B2C pay-TV market share in Q2 was 27.9%, up from 26.1% a year earlier.
In its latest set of results, the company notes that its sustained year-on-year B2C revenue was attributable to growth in the B2C internet and pay-TV subscriber base in Moscow and the regions, as well as success in upselling existing customers through network modernisation.
