An agreement has been reached between NOS and Meo over the sharing of sports rights.
It means that NOS subscribers will have access to Porto Canal, while Meo customers will be able to see Benfica TV, where NOS holds the rights.
NOS, Meo, along with Vodafone and Cabovisão advised the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) that in future the four operators would share the cost of the channel between them.
The value of the agreement is not known.
Rights to the Portuguese national league are held jointly by Sport TV and B-TV, requiring a subscription to both channels to view all the available games.
