Dutch private broadcaster RTL Nederland has changed its name into RTL, and has introduced a new identity.
The new lettering of the RTL logo follows the design of the recently updated RTL Nieuws and refelcts the curves of the screens on which RTL content can be seen, not only a TV set, but also smart phones, tablets and computers. The company’s pay-off now reads ‘RTL… en ontdek’ (RTL… and discover).
“We have a superb portfolio of powerful brands, commented CEO Bert Habets, RTL.
“That requires a strong parent brand that tells a true story. A story that not only tells what we do, but how and why we do it. Therefore, we started with the basics: a strong positioning which exposes our DNA. Since its launch in 1989, RTL explores new avenues in the media. Curiosity is in the veins of our company and its employees. It’s the fire story, creating new identities and a new pay-off. “
