Data produced by the regulator NMHH shows that as of this May the number stood at 962,800, compared to 797,000 in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the number of FTTx subscriptions stood at 472,000, compared to 409,000.
In each instance, the subscriptions provided bandwidth in excess of 30 Mbps.
The total number of xDSL subscriptions as of this May was 785,000, while the cable broadband total was 1,118,000.
Telekom was the leading provider of fixed broadband services, with a maket share of 35.5%.
The next largest players were UPC (21.9%), Digi (15.3%) and Invitel (9.7%).
