Patrick Drahi is to step down as President of Altice NV as the company prepares to take control of the US Cablevision.
He will lead the newly-formed Altice Group Advisory Council.
It means Dexter Goei has been appointed as Altice chairman and chief executive of Altice USA. Goei’s new role will be to focus on the integration of Cablevision and Suddenlink within the Altice Group.
Michel Combes, who joined from Alcatel-Lucent last September, becomes chief executive officer of Altice NV. In addition to his continued day-to-day responsibilities for the Altice Group, he’ll also lead Altice’s executive committee.
“Michel has been instrumental in structuring and harmonising our operations and strengthening our management teams across the board. I am very pleased to work with him in his new role as the Altice Group embarks on its next phase of development, said Drahi, adding that the company had never been in such a strong position.
