Spacecom has announced that it is working with Hungaro DigiTel Kft (HDT) to bring coverage of Euro 2016 to Hungary.
Commenting on the development, HDT general manager, Antonio Felizardo said: “HDT’s Euro 2016 broadcast project enhances our broadcast cooperation with Spacecom and its AMOS satellite fleet.
“For over a decade we have been working closely with Spacecom in our data transmission business. Over the past few years we have begun working in the broadcast field and we are excited by this shared initiative which adds a new aspect to our teamwork.”
Eyal Altshuler, Spacecom’s VP sales, CEE, added: “From its perch at 4 degrees West, Amos-3 is broadcasting the festivities surrounding Hungary’s national football team playing in Euro 2016, and related specials. This important collaboration raises the profile of HDT’s broadcast business and provides further impetus for our operations in Hungary and other areas in CEE.”
Amos-6, Spacecom’s newest satellite, is due to launch in the Amos 4 degrees West hot spot later this year.
