Isabella Carmu has been appointed the general manager of Romania’s Antena Group, effective May 16.
At the same time, Cristian Ionescu has been appointed deputy general manager.
Carmu, who was recently interviewed by Broadband TV News, was formerly the channel manager, Antena 1, while Ionescu was channel manager of Antena Stars.
The two executives will coordinate the entire operational activity of Antena Group’s family of channels, which include Antena 1, Antena Stars, Happy Channel and Zu TV, as well as the online platforms under this umbrella.
Commenting on the appointments, Sorin Alexandrescu, until now the company’s general manager, said: “Isabella and Cristian have a good knowledge of the organization, having grown up with this business. Antena Group has a very efficient management system and I am convinced that the entire team knows what to do in order to offer the best results to our audience and partners. As for myself, I fully support my colleagues and will concentrate, in the following period, on the appeal against the recent court ruling, in order to prove my innocence”.
As reported by Broadband TV News, Alexandrescu received a jail sentence of 3.5 years earlier this month.
Both Carmu and Ionescu have a long association with the group, having held various positions in it for 19 and over 20 years respectively.
