Poland’s leading commercial broadcaster Polsat has announced plans to invest in movie production and distribution.
In a statement, it says that it has launched a new programme named Cyfrowa Strefa Twórców (CST) that will give film makers the opportunity for their work to reach both Polish and international film and TV audiences.
It adds that the initiators of CST are Cyfrowy Polsat, Telewizja Polsat, Ipla, Polkomtel and Distrybucja Mówi Servis.
Separately, Cyfrowy Polsat has signed an agreement with Polski Instytut Sztuki Filmowej – PISF (Polish Institute of Film Art).
Under it, Cyfrowy Polsat will provide the PISF with support for projects that meet the criteria of the CST programme.
