The Czech Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting (RRTV) has imposed penalties on the country’s two leading commercial broadcasters.
FTV Prima has been fined CZK200,000 (€7,397) for airing an episode of a programme named The Pied Piper on Cool, one of its thematic channels, in March 2014 that “endangered the mental and moral development of minors”.
Meanwhile, CET 21, which operates Nova, has been fined CZK100,000 for airing advertising for a lottery last August on TV Nova that had not been authorised by the Ministry of Finance or notified under special legislation.
