Romania’s RCS&RDS (Digi) has introduced new lower charges for its fixed internet services.
At the same time, it has also introduced a new mobile internet package that, as ZF points out, was previously included free of charge in its offer.
RCS&RDS’s 300 Mbps service now costs RON29 (€6.38) a month included tax, while its most comprehensive 1,000 Mbps offer can be received for RON45, including tax.
Meanwhile, its mobile internet service, offered separately, costs RON10 a month.
ZF notes that RCS&RDS’s internet offer remains cheaper than that of its main competitors Telekom and UPC, neither of which include mobile internet in their fixed offers.
Interestingly, Telekom’s most comprehensive fixed product also offers 1,000 Mbps, while UPC’s maximum download speed is 500 Mbps.
RCS&RDS is the leading cable and DTH operator in Romania.
