The German media authorities have granted Discovery Communications Deutschland a licence for the operation and nationwide distribution of a teleshopping service under the working title D-Shop for eight years.
The offering will be broadcast each night between 01.30 and 08.30 CET and comprise teleshopping programmes produced in-house and provided by third parties. Distribution will be on Eurosport’s slot on Astra (19.2° East) and on cable networks.
The service which targets adults between 20 and 59 years of age will focus on products from areas such as sports, music, movie DVDs, cars, tools and outdoor equipment.
