The Czech incumbent O2 will almost double the number of channels offered by its mobile TV service O2 TV Air on December 1.
In total, it will increase from 31 to 58, or the same number found in the ‘M’ package of the company’s IPTV service O2 TV.
Quoting David Duron, the CMO of its household segment, O2 says that it has also decided to invest in its streaming technology. As a result, the channel O2 Sport will be offered to mobile TV viewers in HD quality from November 1.
Furthermore, O2 will increase the number of hours that can be recorded by O TV Air customers from 10 to 100. Popular shows will continue to be available to watch up to 30 hours after they arte broadcast.
The service will cost CZK399 (17.7) a month to receive from December 1, with existing customers being charged only CZK249 a month.
