The channel listings of German cable operators Tele Columbus and Primacom are not in accordance with the stipulations of the media law, according to the media authorities’ licencing and supervision commission ZAK.
The current allocation of slots leads to unequal treatment of the cable offerings, the media authority criticises.
When examining the allocation, ZAK detected that the companies don’t fully comply with their own allocation scheme. For example, channels of a similar genre appear in different areas of the listing and have therefore been treated unequally without justification.
ZAK now gives both cable operators the possibility to submit a new channel allocation in compliance with the media law.
