Altice is showing no sign of slowing down with the announcement that it’s merging existing assets into a newly formed Dutch entity.
The French firm that last week bid €10 billion for telecom network Bouygues will be listed on the Euronext Amsterdam exchange.
While reiterating its enthusiasm for Bouygues, it’s clear there the Patrick Drahi investment vehicle has other acquisitions in mind.
“The Group will benefit from a powerful equity acquisition currency without prejudicing voting control of the company’s founding shareholder group. This will further strengthen Altice’s position in the next phase of value-enhancing growth,” said Dexter GOEI, CEO of the Altice Group.
Ahead of the listing Altice will transfer its assests to Altice Luxembourg, a newlky created subsidiary, controlled by the Dutch entity.
Altice already has interests in Numericable, US cablenet Suddenlink and the French mobile unit SFR.
