German commercial TV broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has acquired interactive music TV service Putpat TV.
The internet service enables viewers to create a music video stream customised to their personal taste via web, smart TV, tablets and smartphones.
The ad-supported, free-of-charge offering currently has more than 3.5 million registered users. Rainer Schütz and Tobias Trosse, the founders of Putpat TV, continue to head the company.
From the purchase of which financial details have not been disclosed, ProSiebenSat.1 aims to raise synergies with its video portal MyVideo which comprises a large music video section.
