German mobile TV app dailyme TV has expanded its rights deal with BBC Worldwide.
The new content acquired from the UK-based rights sales company includes car show Top Gear (season 11), drama series Hotel Babylon, thriller series Good Cop and Jekyll as well as comedy series How not to live your life (all seasons each).
From the BBC Worldwide library, dailyme TV also offers documentaries from BBC Earth and BBC Horizon, Jamie Oliver’s cookery show The naked Chef and series like Popetown, Mistresses, Free Agents and Whitechapel.
The BBC content can be watched both in the dubbed German version and in the original English-language version.
The dailyme TV app enables its users to download the programmes via Wi-Fi onto their smartphone or tablet for later offline viewing without using up the mobile date volume included in their mobile phone subscription.
The free-of-charge service is financed by advertising.
