Growing tensions between cable operators and some commercial TV stations, as well as between legal cable operators and (mainly) ISPs illegally distributing TV signals, will be among the issues examined at this year’s CAEC conference in Prague on April 28.
The former will be discussed in a panel entitled Perspectives of the conduct of business within the provision of TV services and audiovisual content and retransmission in the Czech Republic.
Speakers will include representatives from AMC Networks Central Europe, TV Nova, O2 Czech Republic, Axocom, T-Mobile Czech Republic, TV Ocko and UPC Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, the latter will be the subject of debate in a panel entitled Illegal distribution of protected content, the copyright issue.
Participants will include representatives from the Czech Ministry of Culture, regulator RRTV, CAEC, OSA and Squire Patton Boggs.
