The Polish Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) has extended a deadline for a consultation on the contest for what will be the country’s eighth DTT multiplex (MUX-8) to January.
The consultation, which was announced on November 20, was due to conclude on December 22.
The contest will see frequencies in the 174-230 MHz band awarded for a period of 15 years.
MUX-8 was initially going to be awarded to the public broadcaster TVP.
However, following protests within the industry, it was decided to allocate it three slots, with the remaining four to be awarded to other services following a contest.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, the licensing procedure for MUX-8 is likely to be concluded by the middle of 2015.
