The leading Czech and Slovak DTH platform Skylink has begun test transmissions of the public channel CT 2 HD, with a full service due to start in early 2015.
On air for 24 hours daily, the channel will be available to all Skylink customers who have paid a service fee.
Skylink now offers 12 HD channels in its basic digital package.
Separately, Skylink is also running test transmissions of the public channels CT1 HD and CT Sport HD.
Simulcasting with the original (SD) versions will continue until early 2015.
Skylink, which is owned by the Luxembourg-based M7 Group, aims to offer all popular channels in HD to its subscribers by the end of 2016.
