The Polish public broadcaster TVP will launch an on demand service this Friday, December 5.
Wirtualne Media reports that it will be aimed specifically at viewers who pay their receiver licence fees and offer 36,000 videos, all free to view.
It will also include content such as TVP archive movies, premieres of series and programmes, from vod.tvp.pl that are normally paid-for.
The new VOD service will available at strefawidza.tvp.pl.
To access it, viewers will be required to provide proof that they have paid their receiver licence fee in the form of the last eight digits of an identification code.
