Sky and Telecom Italia today signed an agreement to bring the Sky channels dedicated to the Uefa Champions League matches and Uefa Euro 2016 qualifiers on TIM’s 3G and 4G networks.
The matches will be available for TIM customers, both on mobile broadband and ultrabroadband networks and Wi-Fi from the Telecom Italia fixed network.
Viewers can access the dedicated channels by downloading the free TIMvision App and activate Sky Sport UEFA Champions League 2014-15. The service will be available at a price of EUR5 per month which includes the data traffic and without any activation fee.
This new agreement further enhances the sports content offered to TIM customers and confirms Sky’s strategy to extend its exclusive content to the widest possible audience through new distribution channels.
The strategic partnership signed last November between Telecom Italia and Sky will also lead at the beginning of 2015 to the setting up of the first new generation IPTV in Italy to broadcast Sky’s entire television offer through Telecom Italia’s ultrabroadband networks.
