Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) and Atmedia Czech Republic have signed an agreement on the exclusive sale of airtime on Nickelodeon.
Commenting on the deal, Bartosz Witak, general manager of VIMN for Central and Eastern Europe & Israel, said: ” Nickelodeon has shown significant progress on the Czech market, it’s already the second kids channel in terms of time spent viewing. I find the agreement with Atmedia a logical step and a way to monetise the greatest success for the channel.”
Petr Majerik, Atmedia CEO, added: “Nickelodeon is a very important television station for us – one that significantly strengthens our portfolio of children’s TV channels. We believe that such a powerful brand requires special care for its monetisation to take place in the best possible way.”
Atmedia, which is a leading media representative of thematic TV and new media in Central and Eastern Europe, and VIMN already have a similar agreement in place in Hungary.
