The Polish Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) has opened a public consultation into what will be the country’s eighth DTT multiplex.
This is in accordance with a resolution by the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) passed at the end of last month that effectively allocated – controversially, in the view of some in the industry – the multiplex (MUX-8) to the public broadcaster TVP.
The multiplex will use frequencies in the 174-230 MHz band, with the licence period being 15 years.
The consultation is open until August 11.
