French distributor of TV channels Thema has launched a new advertising sales department, by creating Thema Advertising.
Launched on Monday, April 14t on the occasion of the new schedule of the Nollywood TV channel, Thema Advertising will aim to commercialise the advertising space of Nollywood TV’s African signal, broadcast in more than 20 countries of sub-Saharan Africa, in particular in the Evasion offer of Canal Afrique, as well in the main French-speaking African operators.
Thema Advertising’s team, working out of Thema’s headquarters in Paris, consists of Peggy Voutyras, advertising director, previously in charge of the Cinema Sector at Lagardère Publicité and of Natacha Quef, Planning & Traffic Manager.
Pierre-Paul Vander Sande, Advertising Arts, will provide management assistance and consulting to this new Thema department. Thema Advertising is reporting to Thema’s Marketing Department, under the direction of Marianne Bede.
“After the launch of its own TV channel, Nollywood TV, the launch of Thema Advertising marks a new step towards the diversification of Themas businesses, climbing this way the value chain with additional revenues to the sole tolls distribution model,” the company said in a statement. “With this new know-how, Thema will be able to offer to its future channels an advertising support.”
