HD+, Astra’s HDTV platform for German DTH satellite households, has added four new channels: RTL Nitro HD, ProSieben Maxx HD, n-tv HD and TLC HD.
The fee-based, encrypted platform on Astra (19.2° East) now contains 20 HD versions of commercial German free-to-air TV channels. The latest addition was Disney Channel HD on January 17, 2014.
Viewers not signed up for HD+ can get a glimpse of the proposition during Easter: The TV channels operated by broadcast group ProSiebenSat.1 will drop their encryption at HD+ between 18 and 21 April and will be available free of charge.
The Easter special which will also take place on cable and IPTV networks will cover Sat.1 HD, ProSieben HD, kabel eins HD, sixx HD and ProSieben Maxx HD.
