Canis Media chairman and chief executive Ed Hall has left the company, the Sky channel broker and channel launch specialist has announced in a short statement.
Hall founded Canis in 2001, taking advantage of the demands of small scale operations to quickly get up and running, and providing a brokerage service as early launchers found themselves sitting on valuable channel places in the Sky EPG coverted by much larger operations.
“Canis Media would like to announce that Ed Hall no longer works for the company. We would like to take this opportunity to offer our best wishes for his future endeavours and would also like to thank him for all he’s done over the years,” read the statement, released late on Friday.
Clare Bramley who has been running Canis Media’s local TV operations, Comux, will take over from Hall in the interim.
In November 2012 Canis merged with EMG, which runs London’s St James Theatre.
