Netgem has said that the doubling of international revenues over the period 2012-2014 remains one of its objectives.
In a statement on strategy and outlook accompanying its latest set of results, it adds that the expected growth vectors are business from historical customers, fixed operators in Europe and Australia; growth in the fixed lines market (fiber deployments) in emerging countries; and new market opportunities with mobile operators in Europe.
In the latter instance, it will be by aiming to replicate internationally, with mobile operators looking for TV solutions, the experience in France with LaBox Videofutur. Netgem posted revenues of €19.3 million for Q1, up 18% on a year earlier. While international amounted to €16 million (+32%), those from the French market stood at €3.3 million (-21%).
Consolidated results for 2013 meanwhile show that revenues were barely changed on a year earlier (€81.4 million v €81.2 million). However, international increased by 19% to €63 million, while French fell by 35% to €18.3 million. Current operating income was €10.2 million (-17%) and net income unchanged on a year earlier at €9.3 million.
