Long-time Fox International Channels (FIC) executive Jesus Perezagua has notified the company that he will be stepping down from his role as president, Europe and Africa effective April 30.
He will consult for companies in the group after that date. Making the announcement was Hernan Lopez, president and CEO of FIC, who also indicated that a search will begin immediately for a successor.
Jesus Perezagua first joined the company in 2003 as managing director of FIC Spain and Portugal. In 2005 he was tasked with directing the company’s expansion across Eastern and Central Europe, Turkey and Greece. He was named president of Europe and Africa in 2011.
“We’re disappointed that Jesus is leaving FIC,” said Mr. Lopez, in a statement.
“He’s done an outstanding job growing FIC Europe and Africa as a valued asset for the company and we are grateful for his leadership over the past several years. However, we respect his decision, thank him for his tremendous contributions, and wish him nothing but the very best. We’ll start an immediate search for his replacement, and hope to have an executive in place as soon as possible.”
In addition to his ten-year tenure at Fox International Channels, Perezagua also held posts as managing director, Iberian Channels and Online for Fox Kids Entertainment, Espana SL, a joint venture between Fox Kids Europe NV and Sogecable SA. Previously he was managing director of Bandai Espana, a Japanese toy company specializing in TV marketing concepts.
