Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat has posted a net profit of PLN173 million (€41.5 million) for the fourth quarter, up 42% on the total a year earlier.
Its revenue and EBITDA in Q4 meanwhile amounted to PLN804 million (+7%) and PLN275 million (+11%) respectively.
The group’s net profit in 2013 was PLN525 million, on revenues and EBITDA of PLN2,960 million and PLN1,046 million respectively.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s DTH platform ended 2013 with 3.54 million subscribers.
Of these, 2,685,000 (2,761,000 a year earlier) opted for the Family Package and 850,000 (805,000) the Mini Package, including the TV Mobilna service.
The platform saw strong growth in the take-up of its internet service (234,625 v 150,199 a year earlier) and Multiroom (667,589 v 427,200).
It also notes that 83% of its customers use HD STBs and it had 1.1 million VOD/PPV transactions in 2013 and 4.6 million since the launch of the services.
Its online VOD service ipla had a 25/75 revenue split between subscription and advertising, with ad revenues ben boosted by its websites, mainly ipla.tv and polsatsport.pl.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s churn rate in Q4 2013 was 9.5% and ARPU of the Family and Mini Packages was PLN49.8 and PLN13.5 respectively.
