Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat and a group of financial institutions have started negotiations to provide the company with refinancing.
In a statement, Cyfrowy Polsat says this will be for a full repayment of its outstanding debt under the Senior Facilities Agreement of March 31, 2011 and under the Senior Secured Notes issued pursuant to the Indenture of May 20, 2011.
The refinancing is one of the conditions set for Cyfrowy Polsat to close the acquisition on shares in Metelem Holding Company, which indirectly owned the mobile operator Polkomtel.
The composition of the financial institutions has not yet been established.
