Cyfrowy Polsat has implemented its collaboration with VECTOR by deploying Ericsson’s AVP4000 platform.
The chosen solution, which will replace the system working in MPEG-2 on transponder 74, will allow Cyfrowy Polsat to further develop its TV services and further improve the high quality of channels it broadcasts.
AVP4000 not only supports the development of existing services but also the newest standards of 3D and Ultra HD digital TV.
Commenting on the development, Dariusz Dzialkowski, a member of the board at Cyfrowy Polsat, said: “the deployment of Ericsson’s AVP4000 platform with VECTOR provides us with even higher quality broadcast channels within their capacity, which allows us to optimise the process of delivering services to the viewers and thus provide subscribers with attractive, high-quality software products at affordable prices.”
Cezary Pawlowski, business development director at VECTOR, added: “By choosing Ericsson’s multifunctional AVP4000 platform, guaranteeing exceptional quality for broadcast programmes, Cyfrowy Polsat has obtained a flexible tool for creating a modern and competitive offer for the market, tailored to the needs of its subscribers”.
