The Sky Sports Day Pass, part of the NOW TV package, has been added to the Apple TV device.
Although Sky already has a relationship with Apple TV – Sky News was added earlier this year – it is another chip away at the Netflix business which is also on the platform.
Gidon Katz, Director of NOW TV, comments: “It’s been a busy year for NOW TV as we continue to widen access to our top-quality content by launching on popular platforms our customers use. The NOW TV Sky Sports Day Pass is perfect for sports fans with Apple TV who want the flexibility to choose which live events they want to watch from the comfort of their sofa.”
The £9.99 Sky Sports Day Pass, covering all six Sky Sports channels, is billed directly to the iTunes account.
Upcoming sporting highlights include the remainder of The Ashes series live from Australia, though England fans might now dispute that, top matches from the Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League knockout stages, Capital One Cup and Sky Bet Football League, Rugby Union’s Heineken Cup, the World Darts Championship and NFL Super Bowl XLVIII.
