Poland’s Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) has called a meeting for December 10 to discuss the vacating of the first DTT multiplex (MUX1) by the public broadcaster TVP.
The meeting will be attended by broadcasters currently using the multiplex (TVP, Eska TV, Stavka, Lemon Records and ATM Grupa), as well the four companies that have recently been awarded licences by the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) for frequencies on MUX1.
The latter are the Lux Veritas Foundation (TV Trwam), Stopklatka (Stopklatka TV) and Spektrum (Focus TV).
At present, TVP has the right to use four-eighths of the capacity on MUX1 and each of the four other current broadcasters one eighth.
The purpose of the meeting is to clarify doubts about the process of TVP’s withdrawal from MUX1 and to speed it up.
