Top shows from HBO, including Game of Thrones, Veep and True Blood are to be made available to download on Android in the UK.
The titles are being made available on Google Play in the UK, following a similar deal in the US last month.
Colin Smith, director of international digital distribution for HBO said “We are delighted to bring our wide range of programming to Google Play in the UK, and expand on our existing relationship in the US.
“This is an exciting time for HBO in the digital space, and we can’t wait to work with Google over the coming weeks and months to deliver all of our series and films to their platform, including a host of new and returning HBO shows throughout 2014.”
Later The Wire, Band of Brothers, The Pacific and The Sopranos will all be added, with a third tranche slated to include Banshee and The Newsroom.
Episodes of Game of Thrones are priced at £1.89 for a standard definition episode and £2.49 in HD.
