Outgoing Com Hem CEO Tomas Franzén has put his weight behind the Scandi net’s recent launch of TiVo.
“I am confident that our new digital TV products TiVo and TiVoToGo, which launched in October, will help us to increase our future revenues from digital TV. We are currently in an investment phase in terms of both our services and our network in order to strengthen our position in the market, said Franzén who will leave Com Hem in the New Year for Bonnier.
TiVo and its cloud-based companion TiVoToGo launched on October 7, 2013.
In third quarter results announced Thursday, Com Hem recorded revenues of SEK 1.104 billion – a reduction from SEK 1.133 billion in Q3 2012 – caused in part by a drop in digital TV revenues. Operating profit amounted to SEK 569 million and investments amounted to SEK 267 million.
As of September 30, 2013, Com Hem had a total of 1,789,000 subscribers, an increase of 41,000 on 2012.
